What is something that would surprise me about you?
I too have my fair share of difficulty creating time for wellness. Even when I know deeply, that when I don’t carve out the space to make it happen, my life does not flow quite as smooth. When I prioritize the things that fill my own cup, thats when I can go out into the world and give the best of myself.

What can I expect from your class?
The elements of mobility, mindfulness and functional movement that all come from years of my own exploration and practice.

What is the most essential part of practice for you?
What’s most essential as a part of my practice is that the power of this practice does not only come from the effort, but also the letting go of effort. If I push hardest in every pose, it will ultimately take from my energy source instead of bring balance to it. I choose my moments. The pairing of effort and ease is what creates the magic that I am looking for in my practice.

My journey to yoga was anything but straightforward. After years of battling addiction, I found myself in the darkness of self harm, working to overcome a severe meth habit. When I got sober and began searching for something greater, yoga became the path that helped me discover what I had been seeking. I enrolled in a yoga teacher training. At the time, I never imagined that teaching yoga would become my career.

Ten years later, I’ve realized that many people connect with my story and my perspective on yoga. With over a decade of experience teaching, I now see that the twists and turns that led me here were exactly what I needed. The challenges I’ve faced have equipped me with the tools to live a life of purpose. For me, teaching is about leading by example. I don’t claim to have everything figured out, but I’m constantly evolving, and I bring that growth into every class I teach. My approach is a reflection of my journey, my values, and the ideals I continue to pursue. Yoga has made many of my dreams a reality, and I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing community of family, friends, and students who share this experience with me. I owe a great deal of respect and thanks to my teachers—Sheryl, Vinnie, Jolie, and many more—who have helped shape my path.

You can catch me swimming at the beach, playing with my dog at the park, or practicing yoga in South Florida.
