Q&A
How would you describe your teaching style?
Flowing, Energetic and Feminine
Was there a moment when you knew that teaching yoga was for you?
When I was training with my first real teacher in Boston, David Vendetti. He is a healer, not just a yoga teacher, and showed me what was possible as a facilitator, body-worker and spiritual
teacher.
What is your favorite class to teach at HAUM, and why?
I love to teach slow flow. It's so yummy to slow down and get in the zone. My nervous system loves it.
What is your favorite class to take at HAUM?
Slow Medicine Flow
Is there a moment from teaching at HAUM Studios that has stayed with you?
The quiet that lingers after a pranayama practice when the group is soaking in presence. I'm so grateful to share in it and to facilitate it.
What can students expect when they walk into one of your classes?
A warm welcome, a well-rounded practice, nourishing reminders for self-care, well-being and full expression in daily life.
BIO
Julia Kraft is a yoga educator and facilitator with over two decades of experience helping students reconnect with their bodies, their breath, and their natural confidence. Before becoming a speaking and communication coach, Julia spent years traveling as a full-time yoga teacher, training other instructors in mindful movement, vocal presence, and the subtle art of leading with authenticity. Her classes blend intelligent sequencing, somatic awareness, and a calm, grounded teaching style that invites students to soften, listen inward, and feel at home in themselves. Julia’s approach is rooted in the belief that the body is wise, the breath is medicine, and that practice—done with intention—can reorganize the nervous system toward ease and balance. Whether she’s guiding a slow, spacious flow or an energizing, challenging session, her classes are both restorative and empowering, giving students tools they can carry far beyond the mat.
