How would you describe your teaching style?

Alignment and breath based flow

Was there a moment when you knew that teaching yoga was for you?

After my grandmother died, I walked into a yoga class completely hollow. In savasana, I felt her hands hold mine. She told me I was going to be okay.

I've been holding space for others ever since.

What is your favorite class to teach at HAUM, and why?

Slow Flow is my favorite class to teach because it gives us all permission to actually feel something. No rushing, no checking the clock — just you, your breath, and the very specific, very demanding job of pressing your big toe into the mat in Trikonasana. Try stressing about your inbox while you're doing that.

What is your favorite class to take at HAUM?

Janet Stone and Annie Carpenter! Both have been my teachers for years and shaped who I am on the mat.

Janet's classes feel like coming home. Her heart-centered devotion and Bhakti chanting remind me why I practice in the first place.

Annie is pure precision. Her SmartFLOW methodology grounds alignment in both anatomy and classical philosophy. Studying with these two makes me a better teacher.

Is there a moment from teaching at HAUM Studios that has stayed with you?

One class, the energy in the room told me everything. I paused and reminded everyone that rest is not a consolation prize: it IS yoga.

A student spent most of the remaining class in Child's Pose and Savasana. Afterward, they hugged me and said they had never felt brave enough to just rest in a yoga class before. That this was the first time.

That moment lives with me. Permission can be its own kind of pose.

What can students expect when they walk into one of your classes?

Expect space…to explore, to feel, to be wherever you actually are that day. Bridget's classes are rooted in her YogaWorks training, a blend of Ashtanga's structure, Iyengar's precise attention to alignment, and the breath-linked flow of Vinyasa. No circus poses, no fancy transitions. Just foundational, intelligent movement that builds from the ground up.

Breath leads. Body follows. You'll leave feeling open in all the right places.

Bridget has been teaching yoga for more than 14 years, grounded in alignment, safety, and radical inclusion. She believes precision is a form of care, and that when a student feels truly held in their body, something opens. Grief has been her greatest teacher: each loss has deepened her practice, moving it away from performance and toward what the body can carry, release, and survive. Her classes are rooted in her YogaWorks training, a blend of Ashtanga's structure, Iyengar's precise attention to alignment, and the breath-linked flow of Vinyasa. There are no circus poses and no fancy transitions, just foundational, intelligent movement that builds from the ground up. Bridget is also a fierce advocate for rest, reminding students that rest is not a consolation prize: it is yoga. Expect space to explore, to feel, and to be wherever you actually are that day. Breath leads, body follows, and you will leave feeling open in all the right places.
