How would you describe your teaching style?

Eclectic

Was there a moment when you knew that teaching yoga was for you?

I loved practicing and practiced so much that I started doing cleaning and admin at the studio in exchange for classes. There wasn’t an aha moment, it just made sense to continue my study.

What is your favorite class to teach at HAUM, and why?

My favorite class to teach is vinyasa because that is my favorite practice.

What can students expect when they walk into one of your classes?

An accessible, yet challenging balanced flow

Erica discovered yoga during her last semester of law school and immediately recognized the positive impact of stretching and strengthening to relieve chronic pain. She has been instructing yoga, movement, and conditioning classes since 2012, and she holds a 500 hour Ashtanga yoga teacher training certification alongside her credential as a NASM certified personal trainer. In her early years she practiced so much that she traded studio admin work for classes. Erica believes that everybody has their yoga, although it may arrive in an alternate form: there is the movement (or stillness) with breath that provides balance to the mind and body. Her teaching style is eclectic, and vinyasa is her favorite class to teach because it is her favorite class to practice. Students can expect an accessible yet challenging balanced flow that meets them exactly where they are. Erica enjoys helping others find their optimal movement and looks forward to meeting you on your mat.
