Kristine Manuel

She/Her

Teacher
Hatha Flow

How would you describe your teaching style?

Deeply meditative and breath focused.

Was there a moment when you knew that teaching yoga was for you?

I felt the call to teach back in 2016 when I felt tired of playing small in the stories of my life—addiction, anxiety, and an eating disorder— I just somehow knew yoga was the artistic healing tradition that lit me up and would help me be healthy.

What is your favorite class to teach at HAUM, and why?

Breath and Hatha flow because it helps as a system to reset the body heart and mind. The postures help you feel totally engrossed within the present sensations of the body, helping you to feel strong and engaged, and then deeply connected to the breath. Like a shot of prana. The body and mind feels good to handle anything after that.

What is your favorite class to take at HAUM?

Sound healing and restorative. Or anything with yoga nidra in it.

Is there a moment from teaching at HAUM Studios that has stayed with you?

Every time I hear the students breathe really deep.

What can students expect when they walk into one of your classes?

They can expect to feel really supported and empowered in their personal practice. They’ll find a creative flow that enlivens their senses, stretches and strengthens their body. And maybe some of the deepest savasanas they ever encountered.

Kristine Manuel is a movement artist and healer whose teaching lives at the intersection of yoga, sound, and creative expression. With roots from the Philippines to Brazil, Kristine guides students through a mindful, heart-centered practice that honors the body as a vessel for both healing and artistry. Their approach blends ancient wisdom with modern movement, inviting students to explore the subtle layers of breath, rhythm, and intuition, and their studies span Sattva Yoga, Kundalini yoga therapy, Tantra yoga psychology, sound healing, and Ayurveda. Deeply meditative and breath focused, Kristine's classes leave students feeling supported and empowered in their personal practice, with a creative flow that enlivens the senses, stretches and strengthens the body, and delivers some of the deepest savasanas students may ever encounter. Each class becomes a space for deep presence, creative awakening, and soulful reconnection to self.
