Yoga & Culture Retreat Turkey: Istanbul & Cappadocia

HOSTED BY JL CHIEMINGO

MAY 7 – MAY 12, 2026

Istanbul is our muse. A city straddling continents and conversations. European elegance living its coolest life on the Asian shore. Think luminous mosques and modern galleries, hip coffee houses, boutique studios, the hush of a hammam, and the electricity of the Grand Bazaar. Days begin grounded with deep, soulful yoga; move into art, design, and slow wandering; and end at tables dressed in spice, meze, and excellent wine. It’s inspiration you can feel.

You, your body, and the space to finally land.

The Truth About This Retreat : This is an arrival to yourself.

Sure, there’s yoga twice a day, because yoga is how we create containers for the messy, real, beautiful work of being human. But that’s not why you’re coming.

You’re coming because some part of you remembers what it feels like to simply be, and you want that back. Four days. No agenda but presence. No goal but landing in your own body.

This retreat is for you if:

What's included

When you arrive, the only thing on your to-do list is show up. Everything else is taken care of. No meal planning, no logistics, no figuring it out. Just four days where someone else holds the to-do list so you don't have to. We've thought about everything, from the food on your plate to the space between your sessions, so that your only job is to be here, fully and unhurried. This is what it feels like when rest isn't something you have to earn—it's something that's simply offered.

  • 8:00am — Yoga

We start slow and easy. A 75-minute yoga session designed to wake the body up gently — no alarms, no urgency, just you and your breath and the morning light coming through the trees.

  • Breakfast

A long, unhurried breakfast. Eat well, drink good coffee, talk to someone new or sit quietly with the view. Both are equally welcome here.

  • Hiking or Free Time

Yours, entirely. Wander the trails, find a spot in the sun, nap without guilt, journal, read, float in the pool. There is nothing you are supposed to be doing right now.

    See Details
  • Lunch

Another shared meal. The kind where you lose track of time because the conversation got good.

  • Free Time

The slow, golden part of the afternoon. Pool. Hammock. Silence. Whatever rest looks like for you today.

  • 5:30pm — Yoga

A softer, more reflective session to close the day — movement that helps you digest everything, seen and unseen. Sometimes candlelit. Always grounding.

  • Dinner

The day's last meal, followed by our nightly community gathering. Easy conversation that runs later than anyone planned. You're never obligated to stay — but most people do.

Schedules are intentionally flexible and may shift based on weather, group energy, and the particular magic of being somewhere beautiful with nowhere else to be.

“I am excited to help support you in choosing pause, time, and joy. If you go on this retreat you are already choosing to pause. Once we are there choosing time allows it to slow down, it even feels like it stops. Then joy becomes second nature, we don’t even notice we are choosing laughter, smiles, and deep exhales. My promise is to be there with you when joy chooses you back.”

“You can expect a safe container to get exactly what you need. That could look like rest, laughter, movement, or just a big dose of stillness in nature. Retreats like these are so important to give yourself a sustained break from overstimulation and allow your natural rhythms to reemerge.“

“You might arrive feeling tight, tired, a little overstimulated, like your system hasn’t had a real exhale in a while. And then, slowly, something loosens. Your breath deepens. Time stretches. The edges soften. You remember what it feels like to move at the pace of your own body, not the world’s demands. During our retreat, rest isn’t something you earn, it’s something you return to. You’re held without needing to perform. Quiet without loneliness. Open without effort. You may not leave as a different person. But you’ll leave as yourself, unrushed, unguarded, and a little more whole.“
